Red Teaming & Adversary Simulation
Services
Modern cyberattacks combine technological, physical, and social engineering techniques, making it complex
to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of corporate defenses. The Secure Netowrk’s Red Team simulates an end‑to‑end targeted attack, reproducing real-world tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to assess the
organization’s overall resilience and accurately identify improvement priorities. Unlike a penetration test, red teaming tests active defenses, processes, people and
technologies, including social engineering components.
Intervention Areas
Attack Response Testing
We verify the effectiveness of detection and responses measures of the organization. We simulate specific events or phases of an attack based on information about the procedures and aspects monitored by the Security Operation Center to assess the timeliness and effectiveness of monitoring measures.
Scenario-based Adversary Simulation
We simulate a realistic attack scenario agreed upon with the customer and based on technological threats, physical compromises, or social engineering techniques. The activity is performed based on observed TTPs performing real world-attacks and is done in black box mode or assuming there was an initial compromise.
Full-Fledged Red Teaming
We effectively simulate an attacker targeting the client organization. We combine technological, social, and physical
approaches to challenge the entire organization. Based on TTPs resulting from real-world attacks and scenarios outlined using threat intelligence data made available by the Client or open-source intelligence techniques.
Threat-Led Penetration Testing and Tiber
Secure Network offers Threat Intelligence-based Ethical Red Teaming services. for institutions subject to the TIBER-IT framework (required in the financial field, DORA regulation). We can operate both as a red team provider and as a threat intelligence provider by providing comprehensive support at the stages set out in the TIBER-IT Guide, with the
involvement of the Supervisory Authorities. We also offer simplified TIBER-IT simulations to perform official training, without interaction with supervisory authorities (e.g., Banca d’Italia, IVASS, Consob).
